Attorney Jennifer A. McCabe is admitted to practice in all California state courts. She has a detailed understanding of Santa Cruz courts, as well as how people live and work in the communities that she serves. Jenn helps her Santa Cruz County clients meet their legal needs with assertive advocacy and compassion.
Jenn graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling and Family Psychology. Jenn earned her law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she also earned a certification in Advocacy. From there, she moved to Santa Cruz to open her law office, and she has been in private practice ever since.
Jenn previously served as an Administrative Adjudication Hearing Officer for the Institute for Administrative Justice, where she was appointed by various government agencies to resolve disputes between those agencies and parties affected by agency decisions. Her past experience also includes several years in intellectual property law, employment law, and personal injury litigation.

Trisha Kimball
Associate Attorney
Trisha Kimball entered this practice area because she has always cared deeply about children and families. She graduated in 2003 from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology / Family Development. After graduation she worked as a social worker, serving children with mental health diagnoses. She also advocated in the special education and disability space for more than ten years before returning to school to earn a law degree. Trisha completed her J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2020 with an award in client advocacy.
Trisha feels that her job is to guide and support clients through the complex legal system, advocating for them so that their focus can be on healing themselves and their children, and on laying a solid foundation for the future. She is able to connect with our clients on a personal level because she has her own experience with divorce and and sharing joint custody of children.

In her role, she assists and directly supports our attorneys with her attention to details and unique ability to successfully multitask different aspects of the law practice. She is a central coast native and takes pride in helping those in the community. Prior to joining the Law Office of Jennifer A. McCabe, Yazmin worked at a Civil Litigation law firm in Santa Cruz where she obtained a thorough understanding of the legal process.

Yazmin graduated from California State University, Long Beach where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, a Minor in Political Science, and a Legal Studies Certificate. During her time there, she earned a spot on the President’s Honor List and was a member of the Law Society Club. She is interested in pursuing further legal education and obtaining her J.D.
